ARCHIVE
The Black Art in Japan Exhibition Archive is an evolving research resource documenting exhibitions by Black artists presented across Japan.
By gathering information often dispersed across institutional archives, gallery records, publications and temporary events, it helps make visible a history that remains insufficiently documented.
The archive provides a starting point for discovering exhibitions, identifying artists and institutions, developing research, and examining the histories and networks connecting Japan, Africa and Black diasporas.
